Borage Oil (100 Softgels)
DESCRIPTION
Borage Oil softgels contain unrefined, col-pressed borage seed oil supplying a concentrated source of gamma-linolesnic acid (GLA) and other important omega-6 fatty acids.
FUNCTIONS
Although Western diets typically contain large amounts of omega-6 essential fatty acids from corn and safflower oils, the body’s conversion to the active GLA form can be impeded by various factors, thus disturbing fatty acid balance in favor of synthesis of proinflammatory compounds. Borage oil provides a higher ratio of GLA to linoleic acid than evening primrose oil and similar plant oils and can be used to help reestablish a healthier omega-6 fatty acid balance.
The oil is cold-processed and handled carefully to avoid any oxidation.
FORMULA
Each Softgel Contains:
Borage Seed Oil (cold-pressed)............... 1,000 mg
Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA).................... 160 mg
Other Ingredients:
Gelatin, glycerin, water, and mixed tocopherols.
SUGGESTED USE
1 softgel daily with food or as directed by a healthcare professional.
